I am an RTS award-winning Producer / Director, with a focus on innovative, original story treatments and a shooting style that has a dynamic visual flair. I am passionate about storytelling that has emotion and heart, and my work is ambitious, bold and distinctive. This, combined with an ability to quickly develop a strong rapport with contributors and high-end talent, enables me to produce engaging and powerful programming.
My fifteen years experience - predominantly at the BBC - means I am well-organised, resourceful, with a strong attention to detail, and a diligent work ethic. I pride myself on being able to quickly integrate into new teams, whilst also being entirely self-sufficient when working alone. I have an Enhanced DBS-certificate.
I am a CAA-approved GVS-level qualified drone pilot. This means that I am able to conduct drone operations in a much broader range of environments than the more common A2 qualifiction allows.
In addition to my work in factual television, in 2024 I diversified into writing, directing, and editing short dramas and comedies - some of which have now become award-winning.
I've been fortunate enough to work across a wide variety of genres, from factual entertainment, to children's, observational documentary, crime, food, and consumer. I have worked with a wealth of different contributors from high-end talent (directing Tom Holland as Spider-Man and Jodie Whittaker as Doctor Who), to a host of prime-time presenters, young children, vulnerable ex-service personel, on-duty police officers, victims of crime, and an expanse of others.
I joined the CBBC series 'The Dengineers' in its fifth series, and the first episode I wrote and directed won the RTS North West Award for Best Factual Entertainment, beating numerous primetime programmes. The same episode was also nominated for a Sandford St Martin Award, that celebrates excellence in programming exploring religious, spiritual or ethical themes.
During my time on The One Show, the Series Editor asked me to single-handedly produce a new series of title sequences for the programme.
CAMERA: Sony FS7, Sony FX6, Sony FS5, Sony A7Siii, Canon C300, Osmo X5

I pride myself on developing a fun, relaxing, and engaging environment for any contributors I work with - and the image here is of one shoot when I was filming with a young child in a wheelchair. It was part of Countryfile's Children In Need 'Ramble', and the four year old boy was a big fan of superheroes. As such, I arrived to film with him as Batman. After filming, we spent the afternoon having superhero races as Thor (him) vs Batman (me). I lost. Repeatedly.
