I worked with Matt for many years on both The One Show and The People Remember. He is an extremely creative producer and shooter, always looking for new and imaginative treatments to bring his programmes alive. A good example of this was a short film about the 50th anniversary of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for The One Show which, under Matt's guidance, quickly became an all-singing, all-dancing blockbuster involving getting on for 1,000 people. I'm not sure anyone else I've ever worked with would have pulled that off with such ambition and flair.
Matt is an excellent self shooter/Director. He never fails to deliver a creative and innovative film whether its a short VT for the One Show for BBC1 or an ObDoc following character led stories. Matt is extremely creative and talented PD. A great member to have on the team. He manages with the lightness of touch and with a great sense of fun
I have worked with Matt for many years, he is a super self-shooting Producer/Director who thinks deeply about the style and form of his films. He is at his best when he is encouraged to take creative risks and produce a story in a fresh and new way, the results of which have been praised and commented on by commissioners. He is able to task a team to deliver content as well as work independently to deadlines.
